Dr Waters has a very part-time brick and mortar office at 1101 E Elizabeth St in Fort Collins, CO. She currently sees 98% of
patients by either telemedicine or videomedicine. When clinically necessary and on a case by case basis, she may offer
to do a home visit.
December is Safe Toys and Gifts month, so I will share a few resources that may be helpful during the Christmas shopping season.
The sad reality is that our children are exposed to many more chemicals in their everyday lives now than we were as children. Many plastics act as endocrine disruptors and may cause hormonal problems in boys. We also need to be aware of the heavy metals present in certain toys. By careful selection of toys, we can limit some of the toxic exposure our kids and grandkids experience.
Gifts of activities provide opportunities for quality family time. And which child doesn’t love the undivided attention of their parents or grandparents? Outdoor toys encourage exercise in a fun context, and may encourage a love for the natural environment.
Below are some links to websites that may make it easier to choose creative, safe gifts. Enjoy!
